Elite UK Martial Arts (EUMA) is an unincorporated freestyle karate association operating clubs across Northumberland and Tyne and Wear.

What data we collect and why
Visiting this website
We do not collect, store, or process any personal information that identifies you personally just because you visit this website. We do not run advertising, behavioural tracking, or profiling of any kind.
Our site uses Google Site Kit to connect two Google tools to our WordPress dashboard:
- Google Search Console — shows us aggregated data about how the site appears in Google search results (e.g. which search terms bring people here, click counts). Google collects this data independently through its search engine. No personal data about individual visitors is shared with or by us through this tool.
- Google PageSpeed Insights — a performance testing tool we use to check page load speeds. It does not track visitors.
Neither tool involves us collecting your personal data.

The WooCommerce and WordPress cookies contain no personal information. Google Maps cookies are governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.
We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or any other cookies that track your behaviour across sites.
Signing up for updates
If you choose to subscribe to our mailing list, we collect your email address for the sole purpose of sending you news and updates about Elite UK Martial Arts — such as event announcements, grading results, and club news.
Your subscription is recorded via SureForms, a form plugin that stores your email address in our WordPress database hosted by Hostinger.
Lawful basis: Consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). You freely give consent by completing the subscription form, and you may withdraw it at any time.
How we use your data
We use your email address only to send you the updates you signed up for. We will never:
- sell or rent your data to any third party
- use it for advertising or profiling
- share it with other organisations without your explicit consent
Who we share your data with
Our website and subscriber data are hosted by Hostinger (hostinger.co.uk), who act as our data processor. Hostinger process data in accordance with UK GDPR and their own privacy policy.
Update emails are sent from our own email account using SureMail, an SMTP plugin that delivers email through Hostinger’s mail servers. Your address is not passed to any bulk mailing service.
We do not share your personal data with any other third party.
How long we keep your data
We keep your email address on our mailing list until you ask to be removed. To unsubscribe, simply reply to any email we send you or contact us at the address below. We will remove your data within 30 days.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Erasure — ask us to delete your data (“the right to be forgotten”)
- Restriction — ask us to limit how we use your data
- Portability — receive your data in a commonly used, machine-readable format
- Object — object to our processing of your data
- Withdraw consent — at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal
